Adventure run amok. Outdoor, action and travel imagery from professional Alaska photographer and fledgling bush pilot Dan Bailey.

Bowhead whale bones and a driftwood Inupiaq whaling boat frames at the edge of the North American continent, Barrow, Alaska.

On August 3 at 1:57AM, I walked the the arctic shores of the Chukchi sea with my camera and watched the sun set for the first time in 84 days. By the time it came back up an hour and a half later, I hadn’t even gone to bed yet. The strange novelty of 24 hour daylight had lured me into staying up way too late, even though I had an early photo shoot the next morning.
